Kyomizu ware miniature shichimi spice container

A small yet charming ceramic container to store spice. It is a kyomizu ware, type of ceramics from Kyoto, specifically the famous Kyomizu temple area.

Striped decoration accentuates the whimsical shape of the item. There is a small loop on one side, possibly to attach a hook or a string, or maybe to keep a miniature spoon. The cork is covered in straw for better fit.

It has the original paper tag attached, with the "Kyomizu ware" signs and the name of the producer. Near the bottom there is a stamp with abbreviation of the producer name and kanji for 七味 "shichimi", blend of seven spices originated in 17th century Japan.
