Vintage kimono handbag Ooshima tsumugi - black silk taffeta with floral pattern

An elegant retro bag worn with kimono on official occasions. It is made of the famous woven silk taffeta - Ooshima tsumugi.
Refined and chic, it will compliment not only a kimono, but also a Western - style evening attire.

The grayish black background showcases red chrysanthemum flowers, green bamboo leaves and pines, and ocher geometric shapes. The fabric is smooth and has a subtle sheen.

The lining is in cream beige. Two pockets can fit a credit card or a pack of tissues. The main compartment will fit a smartphone and a couple of other personal items.
A small pocket mirror is included. It has slightly chipped edges, due to its age.

The bag is rigid, with a resin composite clasp. The strap can be retracted inside, turning the handbag into a clutch bag. There are some stains and marks on the lining in the spots where the hinges meet the fabric.
