Vintage zodiac sign copper cast statuette - dragon

An unique handmade copy of a zodiac sign statuette, usually displayed at home during the year of such sign.
In Japan, Chinese zodiac signs are used since a long time. People born in years 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012 (and so on) have a dragon as their sign.
Of course you do not have to be born under this sign to enjoy the item.

This metal cast sculpture is shaped like stylised dragon, coiled up in a crescent shape. Surface is treated with oxide, to achieve mint and golden shades.
There is a small wooden tag attached, with the name of the designer, and kanji "prosperity". A small leaflet with short bio of the artist is included (in Japanese).

There is also a plastic oval base, for display. The sculpture stands on its own, and can be displayed in any kind of manner.
Its modern simplified shape and pleasing colors for sure will complement both modern, and more traditional interiors.

The item comes in its original cardboard box, with the tag stating the zodiac sign, and the name of the maker (an art casting forge). The box is slightly damaged due to the age, and has a marker text "dragon" on the side.
The plastic base has some scratches on it.
