Adorable apple kokeshi- mother and daughter pair

A pair of cute kokeshi- traditional Japanese wooden dolls.
Their shape was inspired by a song Ringo no Uta, a released in 1946 big hit in the post -war Japan. Two lines from the lyrics are painted on the dolls simply mean "cute apple". This pair would be a great gift for a new mom, or for two sisters, as the dolls depict female characters with some size (or age) difference.

Hand painted.
The stems are made of an authentic apple tree branches. The leaves are made of varnished fabric. They show some damage on the edges.
The varnish is slightly yellow in few spots.
