Fukuro obi- metallic pastel rainbow with fans

Fukuro obi is a type of formal obi, made of layer of decorated fabric lined with more plain fabric on the reversed side. Can be used as intended, to compliment kimono outfit, but could also be an excellent source of an elegant, thick fabric for upcycling projects- for example, to make luncheon mats, table runners, small bags, or even decorative cushion covers.

Fukuro obi in pastel hues, mostly pink, blue, and purple. Fabric is embroidered with silver and golden thread, which are creating shiny, metallic patterns. Decorated with handheld fans pattern.

Back lining is ivory white, with white lettering "Kansai" all over.

Length 430cm, width 31cm.

Has few small stains on the back due to the age. Front in excellent condition.
