Arita-yaki is a common name for Japanese porcelain made in the area around the town of Arita, located in Kyushu island. This miniature vase comes from that region. It is shaped like a small bag, and adorned with a printed image of hina dolls- traditional images of an emperor and an empress, displayed during Hina Matsuri.
There are two stickers on it, one indicating the maker, and one stating its an handmade item.
It can be used as a miniature flower vase, or a container for some small objects.
Sixe approx 3.5x6x4.5cm
