Formally known as the Bernacchia Brothers, Liberty Lines came into existence in 1956. The original routes were taken over from Third Avenue's Yonkers Subsidiary, but after the change, Liberty operated a single full time route between Yonkers-Hastings. Bus 322 (the model that was made by Corgi) was part of an order of GM buses delivered in August 1970. Liberty Lines purchased a couple of transit agencies in their history of service; until the takeover of most of the lines in the 2000's. Liberty Lines is a true part of New York City history and still runs the bus routes in Yonkers-known as the Bee Line System.
