Cast Iron Wind Chime – big log pavilion
Cast Iron Wind Chime – big log pavilion
受取状況を読み込めませんでした
A traditional Japanese wind chime in the shape of a pavilion with paper doors, with a small bell attached below. These chimes are traditionally used during summer-their sound is supposed to bring refreshment during hot and humid season.
It is a nanbu ironware, traditional cast iron item from Iwate prefecture.
The design is unique and eye-catching. The top part is shaped like a traditional building with a flared roof. The bell hanging below, with a wood grain texture on the surface, is the part that makes the sound. Despite the small size, it produces distinctive, clear notes. The original paper strip, propelling the chime, is missing. Some replacement paper will be provided.
The bell can be easily removed and used separately. The top part is finished with some paper, glued from the inside. It can be removed or substituted with some fabric or other material.
The item is in a great shape. There might be minuscule flaws, such as hairline scratches or tiny chips of paint, present.
