Hanging ikebana vase - monkey reaching for a moon - brown black with flying cranes

A vintage hanging ikebana vase, in a shape of a crescent moon. It is suspended on a hook shaped like a monkey. This design is inspired by an old, yet still popular motif in Japanese art - a monkey reaching for a reflection of the moon on a lake.

The vase is nanbu ware- traditional iron cast.
The sides of the moon are decorated with images of flying cranes.

The hook is detachable, allowing for adjustment of the length.
The parts can be used separately. There is one monkey in the set.

The vase is slightly rusted inside. Please check the photos carefully before purchasing.
