Vintage Nagoya obi - golden brocade with eagles over water pattern

An eye-catching, sparkly Nagoya obi for festive occasions.
The pattern shows red and orange-red eagles soaring over what seems to be swirling water. The fabric is glittery and bright.

Nagoya is the most-used obi type today. One end is folded and sewn in half, the other end is of full width, for easier tying. Usually worn in simple taiko musubi style.

The obi is partially lined with plain black fabric.
Rayon and metallic thread.
