Kaku obi are narrow and long obi sashes, usually worn by men. Hakata-ori refers to a traditional weaving technique, originating in Hakata City (now part of Fukuoka).
It is decorated with easily recognizable geometric pattern.
This one is reversible. The top fabric is in deep sea green color, with teal and white decoration.
The other side is plain, with a single white stripe.
In good state.
Length 395cm, width 9.5cm.
Silk.
Please note, this is a vintage item. It is in a good condition, but some minuscule flaws, such as some discoloration of the fabric, a slightly pulled thread, or some wrinkles, might be present.
