A rather heavy clay bell in a shape of a Tengu – a type of winged mountain guardian, said to be a fierce warrior. This one is a unique variety, called karasu tengu – instead of the characteristic long nose, it has a crow beak.
The surface is painted in vivid orange, with black and blue accents. It has a short ribbon handle attached. It is in a poor state due to its age, but can be easily replaced if needed. Inscribed on the back, the two ideograms for tengu "天狗".
