A big sized iron cast ashtray. It is made of Japanese cast iron. It is decorated with a openwork in a shape of the popular motif of "three friends of winter" - pine branches, bamboo, and plum blossoms. Inside, there are stylized corresponding kanji meaning "pine", "bamboo" and "plum". It can be used as intended, but it will also work great as a mosquito coil or incense burner, or even as a huge paperweight (it weights almost 1.9kg!). It is nanbu tekki, a traditional Japanese ironware style from Iwate prefecture.
