A traditional wind chime, fūrin in Japanese, in an unusual shape. These chimes are traditionally used during summer – their sound is supposed to bring refreshment during hot and humid season.
This one is composed of three small bells suspended under a uniquely shaped canopy. In between the bells there is a singular, round heart, producing the sound.
The original paper strip, propelling the chime, is included. The paper is damaged due to the age and storage method. It can be easily substituted if needed. The edges of the bells are lightly rusted on the edges. On the bottom of the canopy, the paint is chipped in a few spots. None of these flaws affect its functionality.
