Festive Japanese garment - hakama pants for horseback archery
An original Japanese garment, usually worn as a part of traditional costume during ceremonial horseback archery events. Similar pants can be worn during graduation ceremonies as well. Of course, it can work as a part of a cosplay or a fantasy costume, or even as a part of an avant-garde fashionable outfit.
This hakama is a pants type, typically worn by men. Metallic golden beige jacquard is decorated with blue, red, green, and black hexagonal tiles containing chrysanthemum flowers. There are some other flowers, as well as pine branch patterns, scattered around. The fabric is thick and stiff.
The garment is in a good condition.
Front strap length 80 cm, back strap 160cm,
Total length 85cm. Front and back panel width at waist 28cm each.
If needed, the hakama can be shortened by folding and stitching the hem.
Please note, this is a vintage item. It is in a good condition, but some minuscule flaws, such as some discoloration of the fabric (especially near the hem), a slightly pulled thread, or some wrinkles, might be present.
