A miniature portable Japanese hearth／ash holder, made of cast iron. The regular sized ones are designed to contain ash and embers, used to warm up the environment and keep a teapot warm. This small one can serve as a unique ashtray. It can also be used to burn mosquito coils or incense cones.
The set contains a pot, with decorated sides, and a small tripod to put a (miniature) teapot on. The main pot is attached to a small wooden base.
The item is a good condition. The surface was treated with a paint, to produce a dark red shade.
