A miniature calligraphy set enclosed in an elegant lacquer-ware style box.
This set is decorated with a delicate images of red and white plum flowers, on an opulent, golden background.
The bottom part is in a red color. Inside there is a miniature calligraphy set consisting of a small ceramic water container, a small palette to prepare ink, and a block of ink. The original brush is not included.
Some of the parts, such as the box, and the palette, are made of synthetic material.
The box itself could be used to store your favorite brushes, inks, or watercolors. The item will make also an excellent interior decoration. The flat insert with designated spaces for the items is removable - the box can be used for different purposes.
The set is unused, still partially wrapped in its original parchment paper. There might be present some small flaws due to the age of the item, such as spot discoloration, or hairline scratches.
