Vintage Hanging Scroll - Chinese calligraphy
受取状況を読み込めませんでした
A unique, hand-painted Chinese calligraphy. Painted on paper and mounted on a long paper scroll adorned with fabric details, it was possibly used to decorate a tokonoma- a small alcove used for ikebana and calligraphy displays, found in traditional houses or tea ceremony pavilions.
The calligraphy is painted on a fan-shaped paper, making it original and eye catching.
On the left side, there is the signature of the author, together with the traditional red ink signature stamps. The unique ceramic rod weighting the scroll down adds a bit of decorative element.
There is a cotton string on the top for hanging. The scroll is made in China.
Please note, this is a vintage item. It shows some stains and imperfections. Both the backing paper and the font paper part is stained due to the age and storage method.
The scroll comes with its original paper box. It is damaged due to its age.
Please check all the photos carefully before purchasing. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a brand new and perfect item. Thank you for your understanding.
