Vintage Nagoya obi - paper fans with "shōchikubai" pattern
An elegant Nagoya obi for festive occasions.
Features a repetitive image of big sized paper fans in white, gold, and yellow colors, on a black background. The fans are decorated with "three friends of winter (Shōchikubai) " - bamboo, pine trees, and plum blossoms. Such pattern represents fortune and resilience, and is often used for celebrations.
Nagoya is the most-used obi type today. One end is folded and sewn in half, the other end is of full width, for easier tying. Usually worn in simple taiko musubi style.

Please note, this is a vintage item. In a few spots, the black fabric is slightly discolored. Some other minuscule flaws, such as some discoloration of the fabric, or some fabric imperfections might be present.
