Kaku obi are narrow and long obi sashes, usually worn by men. Hakata ori refers to a traditional weaving technique, originating in Hakata city (now part of Fukuoka).
It is decorated with easily recognizable geometric pattern. This one is very casual, in sandy beige shade with simple brown and beige decoration. It is reversible – geometric decoration is one side, while the other side is plain, with a single dark stripe.
In great state, with its original paper bandeau still in place. No visible damage. A small leaflet with instructions how to tie such obi is included.
