A vintage and unique handbag decorated with glass beads. Similar bags were poplar in Japan in the 1980s and 90s among young women dressing up in kimono for official occasions, such as celebrating becoming an adult, or graduating from university.
This one is particularly tiny, and will fit your lipstick and a credit card, but not much more. It was probably intended for smaller fashionistas, celebrating "7-5-3" holiday.
It is covered in pearl white beads, with red, pink, and blue carnation – like flowers on the front. On the back there is a small flowery accent. Decoration is made entirely of glass beads. The handle is fully beaded as well. The bag is lined with white silk. There is one small pocket inside. The silver and golden accents are slightly dulled due to the age of the item. Otherwise, the bag is in a great condition.
