A unique and adorable porcelain wind chime from Showa period (80s). It is shaped like a maiko wearing a kimono bustle gown- a curious piece of clothing mixing traditional Japanese garments with 19th century European fashion. European influences were strong during that time in Nagasaki.
The chime is mostly white, with dark blue, pink, red, and golden accents.

On the paper tag, there is an image of the stained-glass window of Oura Church- an important building in the tumultuous history of Christianity in Japan, now declared a national treasure. On the other side of the card there is a small dictionary of Nagasaki dialect. The tag is stained due to its age. It can be easily substituted if needed. The heart can be repositioned for a better sound.

The chime will look great also as a decorative figurine.
