An absolutely adorable retro equivalent of squeaky shoes for children.
This pair of zori (elegant shoes usually worn with kimono) was worn by a girl during "Shichi-go-san"- a holiday for girls age 7 and 3, and 5yr boys to celebrate their growth and well-being.
The shoes are made of laminated red fabric with a delicate pattern. It is paired with a bright golden accents on the straps. Inside the heels are hidden small metal bells, making a cute sound when the child walks. The sound is supposed to ward off evil spirits.
The sole is made of leather. It is slightly used, but without major scratches or stains.
The tops, straps, and the sides of the shoes are in an excellent condition.
Shoe length 17.5 cm (European size 28-29, American size 11-12)
