An authentic tanmono — traditional fabric roll of obi fabric. Originally intended to be sewn into an obi sash, it can be used for any kind of project.
The fabric is ribbed. The main decoration is a horizontal stripe decorated with tiny koi fish (carp) swimming through a river. It is bordered with thin openwork stipes.
