Collection: Hanhaba Obi

Hanhaba obi (半幅帯/半巾帯, "half-width obi") are a type of narrow and casual obi typically worn with a yukata or a less formal komon. These obi are quite popular due to their ease of wear, affordability, and the wide range of vibrant designs available.

For yukata, reversible hanhaba obi are favored, as they can be folded and twisted in various ways to produce colorful effects. A hanhaba obi measures 15 centimeters (5.9 in) in width and ranges from 300 centimeters (9.8 ft) to 400 centimeters (13 ft) in length.

The tying process is relatively straightforward and does not necessitate the use of pads or strings. The knots associated with hanhaba obi are often simplified versions of bunko-musubi.

Due to its ease of tying and informal nature, the hanhaba obi is sometimes styled in unique ways, frequently adorned with decorative ribbons and accessories.
