A big sized iron cast ashtray. It is made of Japanese cast iron. It is decorated with a openwork in a shape of the popular motif of "three friends of winter" - pine branches, bamboo, and plum blossoms. Inside, there are stylized corresponding kanji meaning "pine", "bamboo" and "plum".
It can be used as intended, but it will also work great as a mosquito coil or incense burner, or even as a huge paperweight (it weights almost 1.9kg!).
It is nanbu tekki, a traditional Japanese ironware from Iwate prefecture.

The item will be shipped as a registered airmail. If you agree on receiving the item via a naval mail - a slow type of shipment, taking up to 3 MONTHS to arrive - please contact me via Etsy messages for the lower price. Depending on your location, I can offer a price reduction up to 50USD.

Please note, 3 months is a long time. Tracking of such parcels works up to the point of the item leaving Japan, and then picks up when the parcel reaches the mainland. It is not possible to check where exactly the parcel is, when the cargo travels across the Pacific.
Upon agreeing on such shipment, "parcel arrived late" or similar reasons will not be accepted as a reason for cancellation of the order.
