A miniature piece of Japanese tradition – a cast iron paperweight in the shape of a kabuto – an intricate helmet worn by warriors in feudal Japan. It can also serve as a unique decorative piece in your home or office.
It is a nanbu ironware, a traditional cast iron item from Iwate prefecture.
Different shapes available:
- kabuto of Oda Nobunaga, adorned with a round flower-like family crest;
- kabuto of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, with a halo-like "baran leaf" motif;
- kabuto of Shimazu Yoshihiro, with a simple crossed family crest;
- kabuto of Uesugi Kenshin, featuring a plaque with heavenly guardian tengu and a fox spirit;
The helmets are in a brown shade, with bronze accents.
Please note, this is a vintage item. Some scratches, or a spot discoloration, might be present.
