A traditional Japanese wind chime in the shape of a temple bell. These chimes are traditionally used during summer – their sound is supposed to bring refreshment during hot and humid season.
It is a nanbu ironware, traditional cast iron item from Iwate prefecture. Despite the small size, it produces distinctive, clear notes. The original paper strip, propelling the chime, is included.
The surface of the chime is in shiny black color. The strings are made of cotton.
