A traditional Japanese wind chime, in the shape of a temple bell, with spinning decoration on top. These chimes are traditionally used during summer — their sound is supposed to bring refreshment during hot and humid season.

It is a nanbu ironware, traditional cast-iron style from Iwate prefecture. Despite the small size, it produces distinctive, clear notes.
The original paper strip, propelling the chime, is included. The top decoration consists of a cream moon part, and a miniature paper uchiwa — flat handheld fan, depicting a beautiful courtesan serving tea.

The surface of the chime is in shiny green color.
The strings are made of cotton.
The parts can be used separately.

Due to the age of the item, there might be some discoloration on the paper strip, or some damage on the heart of the bell.
