Vintage Japanese slim wallet /kaishi ire - light blue and silver with a matching food pick

An elegant, sparkly wallet made in Japan. Such items are traditionally used with kimono, kept between lapels of the garment.
It can be used to store kaishi paper and accessories for the tea ceremony, as well as some personal care items.
The wallet is made of a thin fabric with a ribbed texture, interlaced with a silver thread.
The top is silver and white with a small blue accent; the reverse is light blue.
The sides are laced with white thread. Inside, there are two pockets.
The set contains a small metal pick in a matching sheath.

Size ca 18x10.5cm.
