Kaku obi are narrow and long obi sashes, usually worn by men. Hakata ori refers to a traditional weaving technique, originating in Hakata city (now part of Fukuoka).
It is decorated with easily recognizable geometric pattern. This one is very casual, in navy blue shade with simple white and blue decoration. It is reversible – geometric decoration on one side, plain, with a single white stripe on the other.
In good state. No visible damage. The ends are not finished; you have to tuck them inside the sash to prevent fraying.
