An elegant zodiac sign statuette, usually displayed at home during the year of such sign.
This metal cast sculpture is shaped like a horse with a simple saddle, inspired by haniwa sculptures — Japanese terracotta clay figurines from around 250 CE.
The surface is treated with paint, to achieve golden and teal shades. There is a small plastic tag attached, with the name of the designer: Saegusa Sotaro. In Japan, Chinese zodiac signs are used. People born in years 1990, 2002, 2014 (and so on) have a horse as their sign. Of course, you do not have to be born under this sign to enjoy the item. For sure, it will make also an equestrian happy.
A display base is included — oval in shape and made of dark brown plastic. It is a bit scratched. The sculpture stand on their own, and can be displayed in any kind of manner.
